![]() If you are interested in the car please call us to arrange a viewing so we can discuss how to preserve this special car for the future. We have done some re-commissioning to make the car safe and bought a new battery. Both owners never took this car out in the rain, and it shows. The whole car was waxolyed from new, and as such there is no rust on this car whatsoever. The doors shut easily as all the rubbers and plastics are factory fresh. The interior on this car is outrageous – exactly as it left the factory. The only part on the car that is not original is the radiator which was replaced a few years ago. We have the New York plates, a huge service manual, the service book, many MOTs, a spare trunk key and lots of insurance docs. The tyres are the same as it left the factory and we have a spare snow tyre on a wheel and one without a wheel – a legal requirement in New York state in 1970. We have the telephone numbers of both Ricahrd and Eric if the next owner would like even more information on the car. We purchased the car in November 2015 from Richard who has moved to Tenerife and has sold this car and an Aston Martin as age has crept up on him. We have many MOT certificate to back up this figure, plus the owners word! The car was stored in a heated garage, and later at Richards container in Broadstairs, Kent. In fact the odometer on the car now reads 54,431. ![]() Eric had amassed around 50,000 miles in his 12 years of ownership, and the new owner used the car much more sparingly. Once in the UK Eric and Ann could not get along with the left hand drive aspect of the car, so it was sold to Eric’s good friend Richard Icke. The car was given a non-age specific plate, YKN 570X upon it’s arrival and this is noted in the MOT certificates we have. Also included is a GM Prevent Car Theft pack with ignition and trunk key codes and the importation documents from 12 July 1982 when the car was imported to the UK via Liverpool docks by Mr Greaves. We know all of the above because the sales sheet has come with the car, along with lots of other documents. Mr Greaves opted for several extras: a Firebird 350 engine, a P/B radio, remote control mirrors, console, deck lid control (the chrome rack you can see in the pictures), power brakes, F70x14 W/S/W tyres, Turbo-Hydromatic transmission, right hand visor vanity mirror, DeCor group, electric clock, variable ratio power steering, power top and a heavy duty air cleaner. The sale included the part-ex of a 1967 Pontiac GTO that Shepard gave $2325.12 for. On January 19th, 1970, Eric and Anne Greaves purchased this 1969 Pontiac 350 Convertible from Shepard Pontiac in New York state for $4347.53.
